Discovering the world of mixed media
Sometimes I feel like a kid in a candystore, so many choices, so many possibilities to satisfy my sweet tooth. It’s an ever changing process and as I am changing so does my art. As I experiment with different materials and techniques I find them coming together to form unique creations. Sometimes they don’t come together and are a big flop, ohwell, lesson learned, stand up and try try again. I am delighted to have found the freedom and space to express who I am through different mediums. The adventure? It’s what I make it.

The freedom of the canvas
I paint and create to feel free. Putting something on paper or canvas to express that which is otherwise silenced. My works are for a great deal a reflection of my inner world, a soundboard for emotions and thoughts to come together. A place where I can meditate, reflect, be sad or have a good laugh. Most of the time it is the latter. When I find my “lafh” those are the moments I feel most content and connected to finding happiness in the simplest joys. These are the moments of creating me.

What mixed media means to me.
For me mixed media is a broad scale of mediums with which to create. Personally, I love using watercolour, acrylics, ink, tempera paints, collage, textile and all kinds of other things that I find helpful for my creative adventures. Everyday I am learning, experimenting and discovering new things and that’s what it’s all about for me, creating and the process.

A look in my sketchbooks.
Here is a very short glimpse into some of my creations. Every piece has its own story, the storyteller, that would be me, creates to find joy, and to find more meaning in an ever changing world. Have a look at my work, maybe you’ll find something that draws you in. A connection.
